Director of UCommunicate
Autumn earned her MA degree from UC’s Department of Communication and her Ph.D from the University of Utah. She studies ways we can use strategic communication (e.g., PR, advertising, marketing, social media) to help the public good, particularly in the areas of human health and the environment. Autumn has experience working and consulting in the academic, business, and nonprofit sectors and has been teaching in higher education for the last 12 years. In addition to her position as director of UCommunicate, she is the course director for the Department of Communication’s two basic PR courses: PR Writing and Introduction to PR. She looks forward to a bright future with UCommunicate and UC.

Assistant to the Director
Steve Ingham is a second-year Master’s student at the University of Cincinnati. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communication from Saginaw Valley State University in 2015. Steve is a Gender Communication scholar with a focus on how men are represented in the media, particularly television and movies. Steve is also interested in being a public speaking consultant, building on his experience as a public speaking consultant since July 2016.
Supervisor of the Street Team
Stephen Mosby is a junior at the University of Cincinnati studying Organizational Communication and Public Relations. Red Bank, New Jersey is his place of birth, but he considers Cincinnati his hometown. Stephen graduated from North College Hill High School where he was a varsity athlete in track & field and football. As a current student at UC, Stephen is involved in four organizations, including UCommunicate. Stephen is also a recipient of the Communication Alumni Scholarship. Stephen’s future goal consists of being a PR specialist for a non-profit organization with a focus on at-risk youth.
Lauren Fattlar is a second year Masters student in Communication at the University of Cincinnati. Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Risk Communication, Strategic Communication and Public Relations, and Sport Communication from Ashland University in 2015. Lauren’s focus is health communication and public relations. Lauren has gained experience at several internships including Special Events Intern at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Corporate Communication Intern at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Grant Writing Internship at Ashland University and the City of Ashland and Communication Intern for the Division of Asthma Research at Cincinnati Children’s hospital. Lauren is excited to learn and gain skills from her experience as a graduate consultant for Ucommunicate.
Taylor Walker is a second-year Master’s student at the University of Cincinnati. She graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Communication Studies and Psychology from Ohio University in 2015. Taylor is a Health Communication scholar with a focus in narrative identity, marginalized populations, and the rhetoric surrounding health. In addition, Taylor has experience in documentary production as she was a student producer in the production of “Creative Abundance”.
Boluwatife Oriowo is a second-year Master’s student at the University of Cincinnati. A recipient of the Darwin T. Turner scholarship, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Public Relations certificate in 2015. Boluwatife currently focuses his studies on the field of Public Relations, and matters of issue and crisis management for organizations. In his time as a communication scholar, Boluwatife has worked in both for-profit and non-profit organizations, serving as a communication intern at the Cincinnati Educational Television (CET) television station and as a writer for the University of Cincinnati Office of the Provost. Valuing above all else the dynamic nature of the communication field, Boluwatife looks forward to tackling a variety of challenges as a part of UCommunicate.
Carson Hoover is a third-year Communication major with a minor in Spanish. She has a particular interest in Public Relations, event planning and social media management. After she finishes her bachelor’s degree, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work. This is Carson’s first semester working with UCommunicate and she looks forward to developing her social media capabilities and assisting in the further development of the UCommunicate brand.
Sarah Waisner is a second-year Communication major with a minor in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies and a certificate in Public Relations. Sarah stays active at the University of Cincinnati as a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She currently serves as a member of the UCommunicate Social Media team curating content on the organization’s Instagram account and working as a member of the UPic client team. Sarah is excited for the opportunities and experience that UCommunicate will provide her and hopes to one day work in Public Relations promoting feminism, environmental awareness and veganism.
Heather is a United State’s Navy Veteran in her fourth year studying Communication and is in her first year of the 4+1 Communication Graduate program in the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences. She is also a member Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s Honor Society. After serving in the military and having the opportunity to travel to multiple countries overseas she would like to focus on community relations in the Greater Cincinnati Area and hopes that working with UCommunicate will help build some of the necessary skills to be successful in the private sector after finishing her graduate degree.
Diana is a first year Master’s student at the University of Cincinnati. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Humboldt State University in 2016 with a degree in Communication. Diana’s research interests include media ecology, and rhetorical theory. She currently teaches public speaking, and hopes to pursue a career in academia.
Kofi Ladans is a fourth year student studying Communication, with a double minor in Political Science and Economics. After completing his undergraduate studies, Kofi wishes to attend Law school and study civil litigation. This is his first semester with UCommunicate, and he is looking forward to expanding his Public Relations repertoire.
Olivia is a second year student in the Master of Arts program in the Communication Department. Her research interests lie in representations of racial minorities in the media. Upon graduation Olivia hopes to work in an industry related to Public Relations such as marketing or event coordination.
